Woodside Park Synagogue Kol Nidre Appeal

Please watch this appeal video from our shul, highlighting the important causes that our community is supporting.

By giving together, we can change the lives of thousands of people in the coming year. So please – open your arms and donate what you can. Thank you for your generous support.

This year we will be supporting:

JBD transforms the lives of Jewish adults with physical disabilities and/or vision impairments. We enable tenants to live independently through our specially adapted mobility apartments, and our Independent Living Advisory Service takes our expertise into people’s own homes. We advise on (and in some cases fund) aids and adaptations, helping people to maintain their independence for longer.

Magen David Adom is Israel's national medical emergency and blood service organisation and the national Red Cross Society of Israel. MDA responds to over 800,000 medical emergency calls every year, saving thousands of lives. Magen David Adom UK is dedicated to raising vital funds for MDA in Israel.

Every year, the Hospice provides the highest standard of skilled, compassionate end-of-life care to over 3,500 people. Services extend beyond the building itself through community outreach teams, telephone support, wellbeing services and more. Though its services are free for those who need it, it receives only a small proportion of its funding via the NHS – the rest is from donations.

Run by volunteers, WPC is the shul’s own community support organisation, helping members young and old. We offer services such as befriending and shopping for members who are housebound, and hold monthly social events including Chat-A-Way, where members enjoy lunch and listen to speakers, and Telling Tales Out of Shul. WPC’s renowned tea parties, held in members’ homes, will resume shortly.
